Trent Alexander-Arnold's recovery is progressing smoothly, giving a chance that the Real Madrid right-back may be fit in time to play against his old team Liverpool in the upcoming European tie.

The English player experienced a hamstring problem while playing against Ligue 1 side Marseille in the initial phase of the competition on 16 September.

Alexander-Arnold was forced off the pitch in the early stages, with initial estimates suggesting a potential absence of as long as a month and a half.

Real Madrid are scheduled to play at Liverpool on November 4 for the European match—exactly seven weeks after the injury happened.

Reports familiar with the situation indicate that the player's recovery is moving along favorably, and there is optimism that Alexander-Arnold may achieve his initial comeback to Anfield after moving to Los Blancos in the summer.

A lifelong Liverpool supporter, Alexander-Arnold earlier remarked that departing from the club he entered as a young academy player was the "hardest choice he has ever taken."

During his spell with the Reds, Alexander-Arnold made over 350 appearances, contributing to win two Premier League titles, a Champions League, and the FA Cup.

Since his transfer to the Spanish capital, Alexander-Arnold has featured on five occasions in various tournaments, accumulating over two and a half hours of playing time.
