Former Physician Faces Sexual Assault Allegations Involving Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Prosecutors report that a ex- physician now faces charges for performing sexual assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were patients.
Details of the Serious Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of sexual offences – including acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 and 2021.
A senior prosecutor said, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
Scope of the Investigation
These allegations come after what police described as a “detailed inquiry” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the 45 sexual offences he is charged with:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.
