The Warrior Group Unveiled
The latest chapter concluded with a major cliffhanger and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the primary party to begin their separate journey, distinct from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team consists of the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Why Split the Party?
With an extensive roster, it was evident from the start that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
Hence, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Introduction, weaving together the characters’ stories before branching into three separate parties: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.
What Defines the Soldiers Table
Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might look out of place, but the events of the latest installment show why these five characters are best suited for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the party knows exactly where to head next after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, breaking into the hidden lair, striking the rogue, and swiping all the magical artifacts to sell off.
The traitor then paid off his liabilities and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Personal Motivations
Secondly, each character has a individual motive to exit the urban setting:
- Thimble, as the companion and closest confidant, desires revenge.
- The adventurer is familiar with Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
- Tyranny and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- But, their reputation as important members in House Halovar could help the team enter places they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, The grateful character vowed a life debt to The cleric for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are sought by the authorities that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and The cleric turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
- The fighter is marked for death by House Halovar.
This results in them little choice but to travel to Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.
